San Sana Yoga

~ Soulful Balance ~

San is a Japanese honorific my friend gave me, but it also signifies the number three and converges with my deep esteem for the 3 doors of body, speech and mind from Buddhist philosophy. When we open them, we soothe our subtle energetic architecture and expand our lives.

Sana is Spanish for health that my Catalan inspirator suggested and reminds us of the passionate ever changing balance from which we can investigate knowing the self.

Yoga is the experiential root of well-being that the seers of ancient India and modern yogis have investigated leaving us a legacy to explore. This is the union of supple spaciousness, stillness & silence from which we emerge & learn to influence and accept the flow of life.

How San Sana Yoga arose …

San Sana Yoga arose as a response to my students’ request for yoga consultations, workshops and yoga retreats. As I continued studies in India, I wished to share what I learned and address students’ health challenges which deserved more individualized yoga programs. Also after years of public studio classes, many students were eager to refine their personal practices with workshops and retreats that heighten their alignment & philosophical awareness. And finally, so many students wish to deepen their connection to yoga by going to India on a retreat! It is an honour to share what I love.
